The Lifestyle Edit: Fashion, Homewares & Art
Beyond the typical high street staples, Orange offers “lifestyle” boutiques that blend fashion, art, and interiors. These are perfect for browsing with a coffee in hand.
Jumbled Located down the road from Spilt Milk Gelato – look for the Spilt Milk queues to find it!
This is a must-visit.
Housed in a massive, beautifully curated space (The Sonic), Jumbled offers a vibrant mix of fashion, art, and homewares.
There is also an in-store café, making it the perfect spot to recuperate or park any non-shoppers with you.
- Vibe: Colourful, eclectic, and energetic.
- Brands we loved: Kinney, Never Fully Dressed, the Jumbled house brand, and the fun “No Man’s” collection by Whitney Spicer.
Hawkes General Store Located on Sale Street.
Could this serve the best coffee in Orange?
We think it’s a contender.
Beyond the caffeine, this store has a delightful collection of gifts and fashion.
- Brands we loved: Cable Melbourne and a great selection of local artists.
The White Place Located next door to Dirty Janes in Byng Street.
An Orange institution.
While they currently lean heavily into homewares, their fashion edit is well worth a look.
- Top Tip: This is the place to visit to see the latest from Zoe Kratzmann.
Dirty Janes Orange Located next door to the Mercure in Byng Street.
If you are staying at the Mercure, this is your perfect breakfast spot.
This is our favourite version of the Dirty Janes franchise; the space is lovely, and the vintage/antique collection is vast.
Chaos & Karma Located on Summer Street.
A fantastic stop for bright, fun fashion and children’s wear. It is also a go-to if you are looking for bath and body gifts.
The Fashion Edit: Boutiques & Designers
If you are strictly on the hunt for wardrobe updates, these boutiques are the heavy hitters of Orange.
Danielle Louise Located near the top of Anson Street
Our top find of the trip.
This store offers a relaxed atmosphere to shop for premium occasion wear.
The range is impressive, catering to events ranging from cocktail parties to formal weddings.
- Brands we loved: Acler, Camilla and Marc.
CINT Located on Sale Street.
If you are tired of neutrals and minimalism, head to CINT.
This store embraces maximalism with open arms.
It is the destination for high-end Australian fashion.
- Brands we loved: Vertitsi handbags, Camilla, Rebecca Vallance, Hansen & Gretel, Morrison, and Viktoria & Woods.
Hermanna House Located on Summer Street.
Another fantastic discovery. Hermanna House bridges the gap between elevated casual and sleek formal wear.
- Brands we loved: Nude Lucy, Soleil Soleil, and Effie Kats (for formal wear).
Miss Mary Mac Located at the top of Summer Street.
A nice boutique catering to a sophisticated aesthetic.
- Brands we loved: Megan Salmon, Trelise Cooper, Elk, and Foil.
Laurie Claire Located inside the Orange City Centre.
The ideal stop for comfortable, stylish casual wear.
- Brands we loved: Foxwood.
Frockwork Orange Located opposite the Quest Hotel.
For the sustainable shopper, this second-hand fashion retailer is a goldmine.
The collection is huge, specialising in modern second-hand rather than vintage.
- Stylist Note: They have a great size-inclusive offering, which is often rare in the second-hand market.
Art & Essentials
Another terrific find was the studio of artist Sophie Corks.
If the studio is open during your visit, be sure to climb the stairs to the first floor.
Sophie is lovely, and her art is bright, Australian-centred, and fun.
