Rachael Gets her style confidence back

testimonial

“I can’t thank you enough for the time, thought, and effort you put into this process.

You curated a styling and personal shopping experience that left me with a wardrobe I love, all while carefully navigating the challenges of a client who has spent the last two years shopping online only.

As someone who has never particularly enjoyed shopping, I was surprised by how much I actually enjoyed the session!

Instead of my usual paint-stained gym leggings, I put on a new pink striped t-shirt and green pants this morning.

No extra effort, but it makes the world of difference.

This is something I never would have been able to achieve without your guidance.”

the challenge

Until recently, Rachael described herself as “style confident.”

She had previously curated a wardrobe that was professional, bold, and designed to stand out.

However, after becoming unwell, Rachael stepped out of the workforce for two years.

During her recovery, she spent most of her time at home living in tracksuits.

While she had reached a point where she was ready to leave the house and re-engage with the world, her confidence in putting an outfit together had vanished.

She felt unsure about which colours suited her and needed help transitioning out of her loungewear.

The Process

To help Rachael move from “tracksuits” to “texture and colour,” we undertook a three-stage process:

  • The Wardrobe Review: We began by editing her current closet. We removed “questionable items” that no longer served her and identified hidden gems — even showing Rachael how to incorporate pieces from her husband’s wardrobe to maximise her options.
  • Gap Assessment & Inspiration: Once the clutter was cleared, I assessed the gaps. I created bespoke mood boards and a targeted shopping list to help Rachael visualise her new look. From this, Rachael identified her favourite brands, and she created a list of 15 key items to acquire.
  • Supported Shopping: Understanding that Rachael had not shopped in-person for two years and found the environment challenging, I planned a strategic trip. We focused strictly on the identified items to keep the session focused and stress-free.

The Outcome – rachael got her style confidence back!

The shopping experience was a success — Rachael not only stayed within budget but was surprised to find herself actually enjoying the process.

She acquired enough clothing to create complete looks for daily wear, casual outings, and elevated ensembles.

Most importantly, Rachael now wakes up confident, reaching for colourful pieces like her new pink striped tee and green trousers — proving that looking great requires no extra effort when you have the right tools.

If you like Rachael find you have lost confidence in what to wear and how to wear what you have Bottlegreen and yellow Personal Stylist can help.
