Thome Browne must have thought all his dreams had come true when the Meta Gala 2025 theme: “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” with the dressed code ‘Tailored for You’ was announced.

Thom Browne’s long association with the suit is clearly why Met Gala attendees flocked to him for looks.

He did not let them down.

Thom Browne Looks Steal the Meta Gala 2025

With more structure than many looks, Thom Browne turns dresses, (not present in the exhibition itself) into the epitome of ‘dandy’ style.

Starting with Zoe Saldana’s Thom Browne white and black buttoned suit dress reflected the black and white colour palette often adopted for this gala.

She wore a floor length button up tuxedo style dress in black topped with a white off shoulder texture.

Janelle Monae, always a style star, joined the carpet wearing a floor-length coat in vibrant red and black pinstripes with a bowler hat and an attached monocle.

This look alone was worth the wait (she was one of the last to arrive).

The wow factor then went up a notch when she removed the coat to reveal a floor length red and black and white pinstripe straight skirt topped with a single-breasted fitted jacket.

It is a look equally amazing from the back.

Pin stripes and a fitted bodice also featured in the Thom Brown look worn by Niki Minaj.

The sport physique of Angel Reese provided the perfect shape for a cropped fitted jacket style top and fitted mermaid skirt.

Meanwhile, Walton Goggins wore a fabulous Thome Browne maxi skirt.

Creativity won with the fitted gown Demi Moore wore from Thom Browne.

The dress was based on a mans tie.
