At Australian Fashion Week Everything old is new again!
Australian Fashion Week buzzed with firsts and an everything old is new again vibe.
Carla Zampatti runway return
We saw Carla Zampatti returning to the runway for the first time since its founder passed in 2021.
Creative Director Karlie Ungar presented a collection that looked back as well as forwards.
Classic suiting, in predominantly black and neutral tones that spoke to the brand’s dna (and current client base!), was paired with sheer styles and high waisted fashion pants.
This collection suggests the brand is now chasing a younger client.
The good news was there were no super skinny models.
Carla Zampatti remains a brand for women of a variety of shapes and sizes.
If you are looking for clothes to ‘adult in’ the elegant and sophisticated aesthetic of this collection is the perfect choice.
Every woman is also the focus of Viktoria and Woods.
Everything old is new again! Viktoria and Woods hit the runway
A household name for 20 years, Viktoria and Woods appeared on the Australian Fashion Week runway for the first time in May 2024.
Presenting its resort 2025 collection day wear for every woman is the focus of this brand.
Touches of satin and silk in shirts gave the collection a luxe feel while the red pieces popped against the otherwise neutral tones of this highly functional collection.
Mum’s who want to look put together while performing various roles are well served by this collection.
Solo firsts: Liandra and third form at australian fashion week
Presenting solo runway shows for the first time were Liandra and Third Form.
Indigenous swimwear brand Liandra’s collection has a youthful heart that is as colourful as it is fun.
On the runway burnt orange and red tones preceded pieces in beautiful blues.
Liandra’s colourful resort wear added a welcome vibrancy to the Australian Fashion Week runway.
Third Form’s first solo runway show kicked off with a flamboyant distressed maxi denim coat.
Edgy daywear that used texture to make a statement followed.
Third Form’s shape shifting looks delivered a collection designed for client’s who want to feel confident and a little edgy.
a cashmere first from beare park
The luxury brand Beare Park has expanded its offerings to include 100% cashmere.
Maintaining its luxe credentials, Beare Park also showcased a gown created in partnership with the luxury jeweller Paspaley pearls.
This highlight was joined by gorgeous sheer looks floating down the runway.
