Groundbreaking – Florals for Summer!

Florals for Spring – Groundbreaking! A phrase delivered so deliciously by the character Miranda Priestly in the Devil Wears Prada! that fashion editors the world over have avoided putting the words florals and Spring in the same sentence ever since.

Australian designers hold no such fear!

Their florals for Spring/Summer are big, bold, beautiful, and luxurious.

No quiet luxury here.

brands to try!

Alemais offers a variety of florals in mini and midi dresses that invoke dreams of a Greek Island holiday.

Zimmerman’s florals are earthy in colour and tone consistent with this season’s strong leanings towards neutrals.

Aje’s falling flowers print in hot pink and fuchsia is a beautiful version of a bold floral print. Aje uses the print in a strapless mini, a tulip sleeve midi dress and off the shoulder maxi. All are stunning.

Would it be too much to have this print in each style dress? We think you will be tempted to do so!

Trenery has a bold print in black or navy that speaks to Hawaiian inspiration. Trenery’s sister brand Country Road has opted for a primrose blue for its bold floral print that comes in a stylish off the shoulder maxi dress.

Oroton’s inspiration comes from tulips, geraniums, and lily of the valley.

Witchery’s bold pattern is more abstract while staying organic. The olive colour of the pattern used for a midi dress will ensure you stand out from the crowd.

Camilla continues to innovate their offering of dresses, kimonos, and kaftans with bold floral prints.

Similarly, the Trelise Cooper brands are go to’s for statement florals prints.

Combine a bold floral print with one of this season’s neutral toned pants, jackets, or skirts to create the perfect statement dressing for Summer.

If the bold prints are a little too much, reflect the florals of the season in your jewellery and accessories!
