Riotous Clothes and Colour

Day 2 Afterpay Australian Fashion Week

The Resort Wear on Day 2 of Afterpay’ Australian Fashion Week got fun, riotous, and colourful.

Riotous clothes and colour dominated the Erik Yvon and Iordanes Spyridon Gogos x Akira Isogawa runways.

The colour splash continued with Gary Bigeni who built on his 2022 show with an ongoing exploration of the polka dot.

A key trend on the runways is softness.

This softness infused the Aje, Bianca Spender, Anna Quan and Bec + Bridge clothes.

Aje offered semi structured pieces, while Ann Quan added the softest prints to body con dresses which sat comfortably with her relaxed suiting.

Bianca Spender explored draping as did Bec + Bridge with their Arabian Nights inspired maxi skirts with interesting double waist bands.

Menswear also featured on Day 2 courtesy of Christian Kimber.

A European sensibility infused this sophisticated collection.

Perfect for the sports star or tradie that has made good.

From over the ditch Wynn Hamlyn joined Australian Fashion Week. The collection is perfect if you want to explore your inner rock chick or skater boy.
