Ngali Australia
Indigenous fashion designers are carving out their space in Australia’s fashion ecosystem.
Leading the pack is Ngali Australia which presented its first solo runway show – Ngali Miya Runway at Melbourne Fashion Week #MFW earlier this October.
The tones were neutral and earthy. Beautiful silk shift style dresses in the softest Australian sky blue and brown tones added an elegance to the collection.
The Ngali print seen in coats last winter was there in dresses and pants. Textiles worn over dresses and tops added interest to the looks.
New Ngali prints were showcased on dresses, tops and skirts that have a streamlined silhoutte.
Miya, which translates in ‘together’ in Wiradjuri language, was inspired by Indigenous creatives’ collaborations.
In good news for the fans of this brand you can now find them in the Melbourne Quarter.
This follows the success of the brand’s participation in Milan Fashion Week earlier in the year.
If you have not explored the Ngali collections before its new collection will give you a lot of reason to do so.
