Shows that shone
The Fall 2022 Couture shows recently concluded.
Shows that shone included Schiaparelli, Iris van Herpen and Giambattista Valli.
Schiaparelli
The Schiaparelli Fall 2022 Couture was stunning.
There was a Spanish influence in the hats and a formality to the silhouettes. Tops were cropped, waists were cinched, and skirts were straight and tight.
The fabrics were luxe with black velvet dominating.
The jewellery was spectacular. In one case strands of pearls were the dress and strands of gold chains made a gorgeous halter neck top.
Colour appeared sparingly and when used it enhanced the luxe feel of the collection.
Iris van Herpen
Iris van Herpen presented an out of this world collection. The laser cut looks were at once ethereal and other worldly.
The dresses made you wonder how the models got them on.
Colour was kept to a minimum in this collection with the precision of the cuts creating the ethereal clothes.
Giambattista Valli
Giambattista Valli wowed in completely different way. Feathers embellished looks by emphasising hems and shoulders.
This is a show that shone with silver and diamantes.
When colour is used it was a riotous statement evoking pure joy.
Who would not love a full-length green feather cape?
The princess reigned supreme in this collection though.
From tulle baby doll and feathered looks to tulle 50’s style cocktail dresses. Your inner princess will love this collection.
