In case you haven’t seen it. In September 2021, the #WewearAustralian campaign kicked off. This campaign is a great way to find new and interesting designers and brands. By shopping with businesses that are part of the campaign, you support local industry and the partner charity Thread Together. This is because the participating brands make a tax-deductible financial donation or pledge of product (or both) to Thread Together
Showroom-X which relaunched the campaign in September 2021 states, “This initiative was initially born from a need to create a sense of commitment to our community, unite the Australian fashion industry and in the process uplift local Australians in need.”
The campaign showcases big and small brands including indigenous brands you may not have come across before.
Glynis Traill-Nash reported in The Australian 27 October 2021 that online campaign will be boosted by images from a photo shoot that took place in the WA locations around Broome, Kununurra, Lake Argyle and Mirima National Park. Look about for the campaign that is expected to highlight Australian fashion as never before
